CBK Inks Cristina Deal; Boosts Space

CBK, a wholesaler of home décor and accessories, has signed a multi-tiered licensing agreement with Hispanic media mogul Cristina, host of her own national television show and a well-known figure in the Latino community.
The Euro Chic Casa Cristina collection will be produced by three companies from different areas of the industry: CBK, The Jaunty Company and Pulaski Furniture. CBK's new collection will be unveiled at the High Point Market in April and cross-marketed across all of the partner showrooms.
According to the deal, CBK will develop 150 new decorative accessories and accents to complement existing designs of furniture, rugs and soft goods. About 30 new area rugs by The Jaunty Company and 130 furniture pieces by Pulaski Furniture were unveiled for the collection at October's High Point Market.
The company is also increasing its presence at giftware showrooms in several cities.
At Chicago's Merchandise Mart, CBK is expanding from 6,800 square feet to 10,400 square feet to accommodate nearly 1,000 new items to debut in January. Its footprint in Atlanta is being bucked up from 6,000 square feet to 11,000 square feet and the company will soon open a showroom in Las Vegas sized at 5,800 square feet.
In other market cities, CBK has already completed the move into a larger footprint. Dallas increased from 5,000 square feet to 10,000. Los Angeles increased to 7,800 square feet from 4,800. And High Point doubled its space to 7,200 square feet.
