Las Vegas - Parmida Home opened a new store at Tivoli Village, located at 400 S. Rampart Blvd., Suite 180. Parmida Home carries home décor, kitchen accessories, imported coffees and teas, wine and cheese accessories, candles, gourmet items and gifts.
St. Louis Park, Minn. - Parmida Home opened a new store at Shops at West End. The company plans to open a total of eight stores in 2012.
Miami - Tamarac-based retailer City Furniture announced it will expand in Miami and South Florida, with four new stores opening in 2013. According to the Miami Herald, the expansion marks a $25 million investment. Construction on the new stores is set to begin this summer. City Furniture sells indoor and outdoor furniture as well as home accents.
State College, Pa. - Homegoods opened a new 25,000-sq.-ft. location at 48 Colonnade Blvd. and North Atherton Street in June. The discount home furnishings store sells furniture, bedding, lighting, rugs, wall décor and decorative accessories, among other items.
El Cajon, Calif. - Homegoods opened at 159 Fletcher Parkway, in a former Borders book store. Homegoods is owned by TJX.
New Smyrna Beach, Fla. - Victoria Wray opened 12 Oaks Gifts & Home Décor at 501 Canal St. The start-up retail store offers eclectic home accessories and gifts. The location also includes a small restaurant, The Juice Garden Café.
Cheyenne, Wyo. - Real Deals on Home Décor opened a new location here in June at 1620 Snyder Ave. The store is open two days a week - Thursdays and Saturdays - and sells lamps, clocks, mirrors, pottery, wall art and candles.
Duluth, Ga. - Online retailer Peace, Love and Decorating opened its first brick-and-mortar store here in May. Located in the historic downtown area at 3129 Main St., the store offers home accessories, lighting, bedding, gifts and holiday décor. Peace, Love and Decorating carries a variety of brands including Amity Home, Creative Co-Op, Currey & Company and Votivo.
Scarsdale, N.Y. - Home décor retailer West Elm opened a new store here in June, located at 678 Post Road in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center. West Elm's products include furniture, accessories, rugs, lighting, wall décor and gifts.
Lewes, Del. - Treasures, a jewelry and home décor store, opened in June at 116 Second St. According to the Cape Gazette, the store carries accent furniture, lamps, canvas prints and decorative accessories from manufacturers such as Madison Avenue Furniture and Medallion Lighting.
Berkeley, Calif. - Rejuvenation, a manufacturer specializing in authentic reproduction lighting, opened its fourth retail store in June at 1717-D Fourth St. The company will host a grand opening party at its new 5,600-sq.-ft. location Aug. 2.
Florence, Ky. - Morris Furniture Co., which carries home furnishings, accent furniture, mattresses and electronics, opened a new 100,000-sq.-ft. Morris Home Center in June. The center incorporates five stores in one building - Morris Home Furnishings, Ashley Furniture Home Store, The Better Sleep Shop, The Morris Big TV Store and the Morris Back Room.
Longview, Texas - Bella Fleur, a gift and home décor shop, opened in May at 3008 Gilmer Road. Owners Katie Cooper and Pokie Dean are the daughter and wife of Longview Mayor Jay Dean. The shop also carries seasonal and floral décor.
San Diego - A home furnishings shop called Scout at Quarters D opened in a 1923 house at the old Naval Training Center in Point Loma. According to the San Diego Union Tribune, the building, at 2675 Rosencrans St., underwent an $850,000 restoration, and the former military base is now called Liberty Station.
Portland, Ore. - Pendleton Woolen Mills will open a new retail store at Portland International Airport this summer. The store will carry apparel and home furnishings, and showcase the brand's roots in Oregon and Washington.
Warren County, N.J. - Jill Foster opened OliviaRae, a home décor and gift shop, at 76 E. Washington Ave. in Washington borough. The store is named for Foster's daughters, Olivia Ann and Sophia Rae.
Savannah, Ga. - Robert Ricard opened Frieze at 1 West Jones St. The store carries gifts, art and home decor from around the world, and Ricard works with fair-trade vendors when possible.
