Yorkville, NY – Indoor and outdoor lighting vendor 2nd Ave. Lighting, previously based in Mesa, AZ, was acquired by Meyda Lighting. Henceforward the company will operate out of the Meyda manufacturing and distribution facilities in Yorkville. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Robert Cohen, president of Meyda Lighting, said in a statement, "This company is a natural fit for us and we have made an easy transition. [...] The 2nd Ave. national sales force is in-place, unchanged and entrenched within the lighting specification, distributor and hospitality communities. Key employees, including top designers and engineers, have been retained, as well as all 20,000-plus designs, including molds and tooling."
