The Halloween Industry Association appointed its new board of directors for the 2009–2010 term. Stanley Geller, president and CEO of Fun World Inc., is chairman of the board. Marc Beige, president of Rubie’s Costume Company and Scott Emmerman, president of sales of InCharacter Costumes, were elected co-vice chairmen. Joe Anton, president of Disguise Inc., is the newly elected treasurer. Steve Cohen, vice president of The Paper Magic Group, is secretary. Stephen Stanley, executive vice president, Halloween & Seasonal at Jakks Pacific Inc., is immediate past chairman.

The New York Intl. Gift Fair tapped sales managers for additional responsibilities. Melissa Engongoro will take on responsibility for Details, in addition to her existing sections, EX•TRACTS and Personal Accessories. Randi Mohr will take on responsibility for Accent on Design in addition to the Studio division, and will continue to oversee the Fair’s Exhibitor Marketing Opportunities program. In addition, Patricia Rivas has been named sales representative for New York's Newest. Rivas reports directly to Paula Bertolotti, sales manager for the division.

Christmas ornament vendor Deb & Co. partnered with outside sales consultant organization, The Rep Connection. The company represents Deb & Co. throughout the Southeast.

WAC Lighting co-founder and CEO Tony Wang appointed his daughter Shelley Wang to the position of

president. She will oversee all operations of WAC Lighting Company, including WAC Lighting North America and W2 Architectural Lighting, and coordinate all sales, marketing, development and administrative activities, in conjunction with the firm's manufacturing campus in China. In her previous position, Wang served as vice president and general manager of WAC Lighting.

Woodstock Chimes’ music division signed a distribution agreement with Playwell Enterprises Ltd., a Canadian specialty toy distributor. In Canada Playwell will be the sole distributor of the Woodstock Music Collection. Design Home Gift & Paper is the Canadian distributor of Woodstock's chimes division.

Global Product Resources Inc. manufacturer of Deco Breeze fans and now candles, partnered with sales representative organization Darrah & Co Ltd. in the Southeast.

Home accessory vendor PTMD USA partnered with sales rep firm OneCoast in 47 states.
