Portmeirion Acquires Royal Worcester/Spode

Stoke-on-Trent, England —

Portmeirion, tabletop and giftware manufacturer, has acquired most of the intellectual property and trade names of Royal Worcester and Spode from The Porcelain and Fine China Companies Limited, which is currently in "administration," the U.K.'s equivalent of bankruptcy.
