Pennsburg, PA – Garden accessory manufacturer Campania International signed a licensing agreement with the Smithsonian Institution to produce a collection of handcrafted containers reproduced from garden furnishings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The pieces in the collection are reproduced from original cast iron garden ornaments found in the Smithsonian’s horticultural collections and include everything from classic fluted urns with Victorian twists to containers adorned with stylized acanthus leaves.
“These pieces, which are mostly Victorian garden urns, can be used in both traditional and more elaborate gardens and landscapes. They celebrate the art and culture of the era that can be found both inside and outside the Smithsonian museums,” said Peter Cilio, vice president, Campania International.
