Kansas City, MO — Hallmark Cards Inc. reported consolidated revenue of $4.1 billion for 2006, a five percent increase over last year's continuing operations. Growth in each of its operating businesses offset the impact of lost revenue due to the sale of The Picture People and Hallmark Entertainment Inc. in 2005 and early 2006. Hallmark North America saw a gain of three percent over 2005, led by sound cards and increases in season cards, Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments, licensed property partyware and gift wrap. Hallmark Gold Crown stores saw a seven percent increase in total store sales for the November-December holiday period. Hallmark International also posted a three percent revenue increase.
