Washington, DC — Minneapolis-based gift vendor Coynes & Co., cooperating with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, voluntarily recalled about 14,000 Casper the Friendly Ghost Halloween Mini-Figurines. Sold at gift, specialty, card and drug stores from June 2005 through September 2008, the figures contain high levels of lead in the paint. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The 3” figures were sold in colored mini-bags decorated with a spider and web design, and were made in China of resin and paper.
