GFL to Honor Bobbie Gottlieb With Industry Achievement Award

New York — Gift for Life, the gift, stationery and home decor industries' only charitable organization, will honor Bobbie Gottlieb, CEO of Two’s Company, with the Gift For Life 2009 Industry Achievement Award. The award will be presented during the Gifts & Decorative Accessories 58th Annual Retailer Excellence Awards gala, on Sunday, August 16, at New York City’s Marriot Marquis hotel.
Gottlieb has led Two’s Company since its beginning four decades ago, when it first launched as a distributor of inflatable novelties. Now celebrating its 40th anniversary, Two’s Company is recognized as a leading company in gifts, decorative and fashion accessories and home décor, and Bobbie Gottlieb is regarded as a business innovator and generous supporter of the industry.
“Bobbie’s creativity and leadership have been matched by her purposeful and tireless industry support,” said Jenny Hammons, chairperson of the Gift for Life board. “We are honoring the special person, the hard-working entrepreneur, the dedicated humanitarian that is Bobbie.”
Tickets for the Retailer Excellence Awards are $150 each, or $1500 for a table of 10. Tickets are available through www.giftsanddec.com.
Gift for Life raises funds for DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS through direct donations, special event sponsorship – with regional events throughout the U.S. and a national fundraiser in New York City during the New York International Gift Fair – and cause-related marketing initiatives.
