Dallas Combines Gift, Apparel Markets

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 3/1/2007 1:34:00 PM

Dallas — Dallas Market Center (DMC) is opening all showroom doors in its Apparel & Accessories and Gift & Home areas March 18–21, to create one large market that provides cross-buying and -selling opportunities for retailers and manufacturers. The March market will be made up of the Women’s & Children’s Apparel & Accessories Market, including SCENE – Edited Temporary Show and Temporaries on 12; Bridal, Quinceañera & Special Occasion Market; Men’s Apparel Market and Western Apparel & Accessories Market; as well as the International Gift & Home Accessories Market.

Also debuting is D15TRICT (District One Five), a new contemporary destination in FashionCenterDallas. The new "Fashion Attack!" will combine informal modeling on the floors 13–15 with cocktails, hor d'oeuvres and music on Monday, March 19 from 6–8 pm.

“In March, there is only one market to visit for the most complete product assortment,” said Bill Winsor, CEO of DMC. “An unmatched assortment across product categories helps retailers diversify their product selections to maximize profits.”

Special events will target both apparel and gift & home buyers. They include the Bridge Fall 2007 Forecast Seminar and SCENE Sneak Peek Seminar with Gregor Simmons; Discovery Tours ofFashionCenterDallas and Gift & Home showrooms led by Rawlins Gilliland; Fashion, Style and Vision: Fall 2007 with David Wolfe of the Doneger Group; the Accessory Trend Report with style expert Rhonda Sargent Chambers; the USCO (United Southwest Childrenswear Organization) fashion show and The Brand Western fashion show, as well as the daily New Buyer Orientation for both apparel and gift & home buyers.
