Shokan, N.Y. — Woodstock Chimes, a manufacturer of precision-tuned windchimes and specialty musical instruments for children, recently had its products included in an episode of ABC-TV's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." The episode focused on a family of nine, who home was damaged by a hurricane. The family included five adopted disabled children from China and a father suffering from cancer. With communication in the family hampered by a language barrier, music is an important tool. The Woodstock Chimes products donated were from its specialty music collection, to be used in the family's music room. Nicole Hosking, the owner of the local Learning Express retail store in Tallahassee, FL, provides the instruments for the family.
"Having our products be part of something so positive and inspiring is sheer joy for the company," says Garry Kvistad. owner of Woodstock Chimes. “We’re a part of something so much larger than I could have ever imagined. Not only is this family able to enjoy their own melodic sounds, but they're able to express their thoughts, feelings and love to one another. For me, it doesn't get any better than that."
We would love your feedback!
