By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 3/25/2010 8:44:00 AM

Dallas — Dallas Market Center and the Accessories Resource Team (ART) are calling for nominations for the ARTS Awards logo22nd annual ARTS Awards. The Awards recognize manufacturers, retailers, product designers and sales representatives in 27 different categories, including the new Green Award. The new award recognizes manufacturers for excellence in eco-friendly practices and standards. All manufacturer finalists will be eligible to compete in this new, optional category.

The Sustainable Furnishings Council will assist in naming a qualified judge to review the submissions for the Green category during the competition judging in November 2010.

The ARTS awards are presented each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market; this year’s winners will be revealed during a gala event on Saturday, January 22, 2011.

Anyone in the home furnishings industry may nominate in all categories. Neither membership in ART nor representation at Dallas Market Center is necessary. The nomination deadline is July 2.

Besides the new Green category, manufacturer awards categories include Accent Furniture, Area Rugs, Decorative Accessories, Home Textiles, Lighting Fixtures, Outdoor Living, Permanent Floral, Portable Lamps, Tabletop, Wall Décor. Retailer Awards include International Retailer, Regional Furniture Store, Regional Lighting Showroom and Regional Home Accent Store. Individual Awards include Product Designer of the Year, Sales Representative of the Year, Rising Star and Academy of Achievement.

The 22nd annual ARTS Awards are sponsored by Contract Lighting, Gifts & Decorative Accessories, HFN, Home Accents Today, Home Fashion & Hospitality, Home Lighting & Accessories, Overcoffee, Residential Lighting and the Sustainable Furnishings Council.
