New York—Luxury brand Daum Crystal has been acquired by Financiere Saint-Germain, and will be added to a group of complementary luxury brands that will generate an estimated $100 million in sales. Other name brands in the group include Haviland porcelain, Royals de Champagne crystal and approximately half of Lalique crystal.
Financiere Saint-Germain is controlled by the family of Prosper Amouyal, who affirmed a commitment to maintaining production in France, “I am convinced that luxury requires French manufacture, with savoir-faire that marries tradition and innovation. Every factory has its own expertise and craftsmen of great quality. We must now build a distribution network that offers all of the group's brands in one place."
Daum president Sophie Le Tanneur will continue to run Daum.
