Frankfurt, Germany — Christmasworld, Messe Frankfurt's trade fair for holiday decorations, will highlight two popular U.S. holidays, Valentine's Day and Halloween, during its run at the Frankfurt Fairgrounds in Germany, January 30 to February 3, 2009. Every year, the fair focuses on the festivities and holidays typical of a different country in a special presentation entitled, “The Spirit of Celebration.”
"In this way, we emphasize the international character of the fair and illustrate the variety of traditions and customs in existence around the world", explains Jutta Baumann, director of Christmasworld.
Trade visitors to the appropriately decorated Galleria between Halls 8 and 9 will find a variety of creative ideas for St. Valentine's Day and Halloween. In a collaboration between Christmasworld and the Bloom’s publishing company, experts from Bloom's Magazine will create an individual table decoration every day of the fair. Settings will range from a tastefully decorated candlelight dinner for Valentine's Day, to an autumn dining table, to a Halloween party. Visitors will be able to observe the creative set-up process, ask questions and take home ideas for product presentations in their own shops. A pumpkin carver will also be on hand to demonstrate his skill.
At the Exhibitor Evening, Jack-o'-lanterns, rattling chains and dark bats will be in stark contrast to the hearts and romantic floral arrangements of St. Valentine's Day. The traditional party for exhibitors and visitors on the evening of the first day of the fair will also be distinguished by dishes and beverages, as well as music and decoration, typical of the two events.
