Demos and Fashion Shows Highlight SFIGF

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 7/1/2007 8:08:00 AM

White Plains, NY — The San Francisco International Gift Fair, set for July 28–August 1 at the Moscone Center, is making the Demonstration Theater a destination for buyers interested in learning the latest gift industry trends and directions, with live demonstrations and product presentations. There will be a wide range of categories covered from gourmet lifestyle and gift presentation to canine couture and wine accessories.

Headlining the complimentary programs are three of San Francisco’s top chefs — Robert Helstrom of Kuleto’s Italian Restaurant, Alex Marsh from Solstice Lounge and Scott Howard, of Scott Howard Restaurant. Each is scheduled to demonstrate the latest gourmet food trends and techniques. In addition, specialized niche product presentations from gift industry guru Sue Kirby and exhibitors Nashville Wraps and Tea District are among the learning opportunities. The show will also feature runway presentations of canine ‘super models’ sporting the latest pet couture.

“Live, hands-on experiences are an invaluable part of the San Francisco International Gift Fair experience. The fair’s Demonstration Theater will present a diverse range of vibrant, engaging opportunities for retailers in search of new merchandising ideas to jump-start their businesses,” said Wendy Tonkin, executive vice president, Western Exhibitors Inc. “Learning about — and understanding how to profit from — the latest product trends is one of the most valuable assets a market attendee can take away with them.”
