Las Vegas — Attendees of next week’s Las Vegas Market will have the opportunity to find out more about the Be the Match bone marrow donor program, as well as make a donation to the City of Hope a research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
From Monday–Thursday, September 14–17, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., City of Hope will have an area set up at World Market Center where show-goers can learn about the Be the Match bone marrow donor program and have the option to register as a potential bone marrow donor. Registration takes about 15–20 minutes, and those interested will need to fill out a form and leave a cell sample which is collected from the inside of the mouth with a cotton swab.
“Our goal is to reach out to the community and increase the number of registrations,” said Jill Kendall, program of the Be the Match program for City of Hope.
World Market Center Las Vegas will also be donating proceeds from its September 15 Business Survival Series presentation by Howard Putnam. The seminar is scheduled for noon in the WorldView Building B, 16th floor. There is a $10 suggested admission. Seating is limited. To RSVP email powerlunch@lasvegasmarket.com.
