New York — The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) is opening an office in
Hong Kong in an effort to expand resources and networking opportunities for its members, as well as promote global growth of the $180+ billion worldwide licensing industry. Tani Wong has been appointed managing director.
“LIMA’s Hong Kong office will be a resource to our worldwide membership for information on the growing Southeast Asia licensing market, serve as a source of education on licensing for the Southeast Asian business community, and broaden the network of potential business partners and opportunities for LIMA members worldwide,” said Charles Riotto, president of LIMA. “The opening of our Hong Kong office is an important step in our strategic initiative to enhance member services and promote growth and professionalism in the ever-evolving business of licensing.”
This is the sixth office worldwide of the organization, which is headquartered in New York; other offices are located in London, Tokyo, Munich and Shanghai. With more than 12 years’ experience managing licensing businesses, Tani Wong joins LIMA from Warner Bros. where she was sales director, Greater China, Southeast Asia and India.
