Mahwah, NJ — TD Retail Card Services introduced the L.J.C. card to American independent retailers of luxury items. The L.J.C. Card, a revolving private label consumer credit card, can be used for purchases of products or services at participating merchants. Merchants opening the individual consumer’s account can have their store’s name embossed on the card.
"The L.J.C. Card delivers many of the important advantages of a private label credit card to smaller retailers who may not generate the sales volume to justify a private label program of their own,” said Marc Sczesnak, president of TD Retail Card Services.
Participating retailers will be able to offer several financing options to their customers, options that "provide a distinct competitive advantage to luxury merchants selling high-ticket items,” says Sczesnak. “With the L.J.C. Card, consumers who may not want to put a high-ticket purchase on a bankcard, now have several attractive no- or low-cost financing options.”
