UPDATE: Lalique Partners with Daum

New York – After announcing its partnership with Haviland in June, Lalique has now entered a U.S.

partnership with Daum, maker of handmade glass and crystal sculptures. Each company will operate under one umbrella, while still remaining independent in their brand indentities. Maz Zouhairi, currently CEO of Lalique North America and Haviland, will step into the role of CEO of all three brands. Thomas Zimmerman, previously executive vice president and acting CEO of Daum North America, will move into a reciprocal role within the newly established partnership.

“The partnership between Lalique and Haviland opened the door for new growth, and now together with Daum we look forward to our strongest U.S. presence yet,” said Zouhairi.

In May, Gifts & Decorative Accessoriesreported that Daum had been acquired by Financiere Saint-Germain, becoming a part of a group of complementary luxury brands that included Haviland and approximately half of Lalique.

Thomas Zimmerman was NEVER CEO of Daum. Sophie Le Tannuer is CEO of Daum. Zimmerman acted in the capacity of Exec. Vice President for U.S. sales. Hopefully this is a misprint and Lalique bid him adieu along with some of the other crazies that worked in that New York office. Lalique would be well-advised to clean house where Daum is concerned.
