G&DA Retailers Dominate New GHTA Board
By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 12/9/2005 8:03:00 AM
December 9, 2005 — Readers of Gifts & Decorative Accessories will be very familiar with the majority of retailers appointed to the newly created Retail Advisory Board (RAB) of the Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA), which will represent gift and home independent retailers in all GHTA activities.
Five of the nine RAB board members have strong ties to G&DA. Carol Schroeder of Orange Tree Imports (Madison, WI) writes G&DA’s “Savvy Store Solutions” column, and Sonia Mott of Motif Home Decor (Pewaukee, WI) is featured regularly on the “We Ask…” page of the magazine. Melissa Haberstroh of The Burlap Horse (Boerne, TX), Cinda Baxter of Details Ink (Minneapolis), and Vasilio Kiniris of Zinc Details (San Francisco) are all recent winners of G&DA’s Retailer Excellence Awards competition.
Other RAB members are Laura Murphy (The Preservation Society of Newport County), Tom Ungrodt (Ideation Inc.), Gina Zagerman (Waterloo Gardens), and Sherri Ness (Bates Nut Farm).
RAB will meet two times a year at major trade shows. The next meeting is scheduled for January 2006 at the Chicago Gift & Home Market.
We would love your feedback!
