Greeting Cards: Calls of the Wild
By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 11/3/2009 5:00:00 AM

When recipients open one of these cards, they are greeted not only with a personal message from the sender but also the authentic sounds of the bird species on the cover, whether it is the cry of the loon or the hammering of a woodpecker. The authentic bird recordings come from the Macauley Library archive at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. The cover art is selected from the Cornell Lab’s art collection; information about the bird is also included. . A percentage of profits from sales of the cards will fund research and conservation projects at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. $7.99. Really Wild Cards, Mamaroneck, NY.
