UPDATE: Grill Charms Grilled on Shark Tank

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 9/30/2009 12:00:00 AM

Charleston, SC — Leslie Haywood, founder and president of Charmed Life Products LLC, pitched her Grill Grill CharmsCharms product line to investors on ABC's Shark Tank reality show. Grill Charms mark food before it’s cooked to help distinguish rare from well-done, mark different flavors and avoid allergens. Grill Charms are currently for sale in over 100 stores and made revenue of $60,000 last year.

According to RealityWanted.Com, Haywood asked for $50,000 for a 25 percent stake in her company and got it from investor Robert Herjavec.

Haywood previously appeared on CNBC’s The Next Big Idea.
