CMC to Add Fall Mini-market

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 5/30/2006 7:08:00 AM

Los Angeles- Something new is being added to the California Market Center (CMC) this fall: the Platinum mini-market.

The new mini-market will take place September 17-19, 2006 and will launch with a VIB (very important buyer) promotion on opening day "guaranteed to make any buyer feel appreciated," says Jon Weiglin, the CMC's director of gift and home.

The VIB promotion will give one lucky buyer a first-class trip of LA that includes a $500 shopping spree at Barney's, lunch for two at celebrity hot spot, the Ivy, and a haircut for two at the world famous Jonathan Salon.

"Platinum offers something completely new and exciting for our buyers who want to add a little fun to their market shopping experience," says Weiglin. "Platinum will also allow our gift buyers to shop for last minute merchandise that can only be found at the CMC."

Platinum buyers will have the opportunity to shop over 1,500 notable brands such as Crabtree & Evelyn, Russ Berrie Inc., Simon and Shuster, Vera Bradley, Sanrio, A&A Plush, Amscan, Aspen Bay Candles, Pez, Ohio Wholesale, Kennedy's, Island Heritage, Meravic, Manhattan Toy, Demdaco, Honey & Me, Klutz, Transpac, Raz and Country Originals.

Invited buyers will receive an invitation to this exclusive event next month and CMC Travel will handle special rates on hotel stays and complimentary shuttle service. Buyers will also receive complimentary parking validation with purchase and breakfast served from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 am daily in The Palm Court, Suite C1121.
