Hispanic Market Opps Among Highlights at CHA Winter Confab

Elmwood Park, NJ -- From the Hispanic market to home accents to in-store merchandising, an expanded education program kicks off Jan. 27, 2007 and runs through January 30th at the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) Winter Convention and Trade Show at California’s Anaheim Convention Center. The expanded program includes hands-on product workshops and demonstrations for all skill levels.

"Education and innovation are vital parts of our convention," says Sandy Ghezzi, CHA vice president, marketing, member services & education. "Each year we design a unique program with top level speakers and learning exhibits to present business-building ideas and trends impacting our industry today, Ghezzi added.

Highlights for the 2007 Winter Convention include a special track of programs outlining tools and tactics to attract and serve the growing Hispanic market.

Programs include "The Essential Hispanic Market Overview," which addresses the nuances of acculturation, country of origin and language usage among the more than 40 million Hispanics in the U.S.; and a customized session for manufacturers focusing on designing products for this market segment. (Editor’s Note: The November issue of Gifts & Decorative Accessories will include an in-depth feature on the burgeoning Latino market our readers won’t want to miss.)

In addition to workshops and demonstrations, the show will offer The CHA SMART Store 2, an enhanced version of last's year 3500-square-foot model of a retail scrapbook store that is built n right on the show floor. The CHA SMART Store 2 will have more than 200 modifications and improvements, including daily merchandising changes, live demonstrations and more.

For additional information, including a complete schedule of all programs and events, registration and program pricing, exhibitor listings, travel discounts and other key show highlights, visit www.chashow.org.
