Atlanta
Midwest-CBK, manufacturer of home décor, gifts, holiday and candles, expanded and combined its Atlanta showrooms into one location. The newly combined and expanded showroom will debut during the 2010 winter markets in AmericasMart’s Building 1, suite 16A7. It now features nearly 20,000 square feet. A grand opening celebration will be held on Friday, January 8, at 4 p.m. during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.
Kaemingk, European holiday and seasonal décor company, is expanding into the United States as Kaemingk USA. The company’s 10,000-SKU holiday and seasonal collection will be available to buyers in the United States beginning in January 2010. A sampling of Kaemingk products will be on display and representatives will be available in AmericasMart, Building 2, 1021A & B during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market from January 8–12. Kaemingk USA is also providing buying trips to the company’s 20,000 square-foot showroom in Aalten, the Netherlands for qualified buyers, complete with airfare and a stay in a castle hotel.
Sales agency Ivystone, which is merging with the HomeStyle division of OneCoast, will open a new 6,000 square foot showroom at AmericasMart, Atlanta. Its showroom (#1807) is on the 18th floor of Building 2, and will be contiguous with the showroom of sister agency HomeStyle. Ivystone is taking over the showroom of sales agency DTR which it acquired in November. The renovated showroom will house nearly 20 gift lines, including Lang/Perfect Timing, Galison/Mud Puppy, Shiraleah, Ryland, Peters & Small, & Inviting Company. Ivystone will host a ribbon cutting on Thursday, January 7 at 4 p.m.
Oriental Danny opened a new showroom at Americas Mart Building 2, space 1209, to showcase the company’s new lamps and accessories.
Chicago
Merchandise Mart Properties has extended the showroom leases of paper product vendor Caspari Inc., suite 13-428; gift and décor company Demdaco, suite 13-117; country gift, floral and home décor supplier Designs Combined, suite 13-213; everyday and seasonal décor manufacturer K & K Interiors, suite 13-207; and high-end gift and tabletop rep company Samuelson Associates, suite 13-429. In addition, the A' Homestead Shoppe Inc. lighting and lampshade showroom has newly relocated to suite 13-227.
Dallas
Midwest-CBK, manufacturer of home décor, gifts, holiday and candles, expanded and combined its Dallas showrooms to one location. The company’s new Dallas showroom, located in suites 407 and 409 in the Dallas Market Center, has more than doubled in size, featuring nearly 20,000 square feet. A grand opening celebration will be held in the showroom on Friday, January 15, at 4 p.m. during the Dallas Total Home and Gift Market.
Dallas Market Center’s 8,000 square-foot shared showroom space KidsWorld Studio will offer new lines during the upcoming Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, including Angela West children’s couture, Born 4 Couture edgy apparel and accessories for boys and girls; Cloud B sleep products for babies; Escapeejays Escape proof pajamas for babies and toddlers; Hooligans Kids Clothing animal themed outfits for babies and toddlers; Jen’s Ideas children’s apparel; Judith Edwards Designs lighting and home décor; Miss Delta Designs headbands and hair accessories; Pink Axle newborn caps with a rock ‘n roll edge; Sweet Petunia girls apparel and accessories and The Little Experience children’s activities.
A new permanent Grasslands Road showroom in Dallas will open in time for the winter gift shows. The new showroom is located in the Dallas Trade Mart, suite 2325. Grasslands Road, a division of Amscan Inc., is a supplier of everyday and seasonal home décor and gifts.
Melrose International, Quincy, IL, a wholesale supplier of home decor and holiday decorations, will open a new showroom in Dallas for the upcoming winter market in January 2010. The showroom will be located on the third floor in the World Market building in room number 310.
Seattle
A new permanent Grasslands Road showroom located in Seattle will be open for retailers in time for the winter gift show. The new showroom is located in the Pacific Market Center, suite 475.
