LA Mart Hosts Charity Gala

Los Angeles — The L.A. Mart will present Takin’ It To The Sea, its sixth annual fundraising event for Gift for Life on Saturday, July 21 from 6-10 p.m. The California Gift Show will once again be a contributing sponsor to the fundraiser, which benefits the American Foundation for AIDS Research. The event has generated $150,000 to date, making it the second-highest grossing event for Gift for Life.

During the party, a representative from the Los Angeles mayor’s office will proclaim July 21 Independent Retailers’ Day throughout the city. This special presentation coincides with Independents Day, a celebration of independent retailers at the LA Mart.

Individual tickets are $20 and may be purchased during the July 2007 Gift & Home Furnishings Market at the L.A. Mart. For advance ticket sales call (800) LAMART-4.
