California Gift Show Promotes Shop Locally
By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 1/12/2010 8:00:00 AM
Los Angeles – The California Gift Show is supporting Shop Small Stores, a local campaign that promotes strengthening local economies through the support of local independent retailers. The campaign was initiated by Mathew Katzenson, owner of Fine Lines Company. “Independent businesses across America are the backbone of this county and the most underappreciated and under-funded business group I know. Small business works hard to keep its doors open in a good economy with short staffs and limited marketing budgets. Shop Small Stores is a mantra that gives the independent retailer a voice and reminds all of us that we have a choice when we spend our money,” said Katzenson.
Visit the Hit + Run booth in L.A. Mart lobby to receive a T-shirt promoting the campaign on Friday, January 15, 4–8 p.m. The California Gift Show is running now through January 18.
