DIFFA Chairman Gets Emmy Nom

New York — David Rockwell, chairman of the board at DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, received an Emmy nomination for his design of the 2009 Oscars. He is scheduled to give a lecture at a cocktail party about what went into the design process titled “A Behind the Scenes Look at Designing the Oscars” on Tuesday, July 28, at the Rockwell Group in New York City.

Tickets are $100 and all proceeds will go to DIFFA. The event is nearly sold out, but to buy a ticket click here.

Gift for Life, the gift industry’s charitable organization dedicated to fighting AIDS, chose DIFFA in 2008 as its sole charity partner. Gift for Life is honoring Two's Company's Bobbie Gottlieb with its Industry Achievement Award at Gifts & Decorative Accessories' upcoming Retailer Excellence Awards gala at the Marriott Marquis in New York City on August 16.
