Global Home Textiles Debuts Pakistani Pavilion
White Plains, NY—The Pakistan Home Textiles Trade Delegation will be a featured exhibitor at the upcoming Global Home Textiles show, May 6–8 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, NV. The Delegation is made up of 30 leading home textiles companies from Pakistan under the auspices of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. This debut exhibit of the Pakistan Pavilion will feature a broad range of quality home textile product lines, including bedding, bath, window treatments, kitchen/table linens and other terry products including bathrobes.

“We are extremely pleased to showcase the world-class products of 30 export-ready manufacturers within the Pakistan Pavilion,” said Shahid Tarar, Commercial Counselor, Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles. "The American market is very important to Pakistani home textile manufacturers, with well over 50 percent of exports in this sector going to the U.S.”

An educational program, “Country Spotlight — Pakistan" will augment and complement the Pakistan Home Textiles Trade Delegation’s participation. This program will be a part of the show’s Conference Program, highlighting what makes the country – the fourth largest producer of cotton – a desirable destination for sourcing. Global Home Textiles will featuare some 350 exhibitors and serves U.S. importers, wholesalers and mid-to-large volume retailers seeking to source directly from overseas producers. The show will run concurrently with Global Home Décor and the Gourmet Housewares Show, all produced and managed by GLM, at the Sands Expo; and the National Hardware Show, Lawn and Garden World and the Homewares Show, produced and managed by Reed Exhibitions, at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC)

Dallas to Debut Contract Lighting Show
Dallas—The Dallas Market Center will debut a new Hospitality/Contract Lighting one-day show this June. This new show will take place June 23, following the International Lighting Market, June 19 – 22 at the Lighting Center of the Trade Mart. This specialized show will offer an assortment of lighting options for facilities managers, lighting designers, architects, builders and other buyers working on commercial projects.

“Since many of the major lighting manufacturers in Dallas also offer hospitality/contract products, a show for this specialized buyer makes sense,” said Cindy Morris, COO, Dallas Market Center. “We are extending our market options for both buyers and sellers.”

Dallas Market Center is only open to the trade and qualified buyers.

Biloxi Wholesale Gift Show Returns to the Coast

Philadelphia Gift Show A Draw for Mid-Atlantic Retailers 
Atlanta — For retailers in the Mid-Atlantic region wishing to shop a market closer to home this summer, the Philadelphia Gift Show, July 20—23, will offer more than 1,000 booths of leading resources. The show is returning to the Greater Reading Expo Center in Reading, PA. The show’s large selection of product lines, convenient location, inexpensive hotels, and easy access provide retailers from Pennsylvania and throughout the Mid- Atlantic and Tri-State regions with a cost-effective and convenient option for shopping for the all-important third and fourth quarters.
