Seattle — The Pacific Market Center gift showroom building is launching a series of events for independent businesses. Called VIP: Vibrant Independent Proprietor, the first event will take place July 21 and will host independent retailers and businesses located in Seattle communities Ballard, Fremont and Snohomish. Co-sponsors include Microsoft, Historic Snohomish and Ladies who Launch Seattle and Snohomish.
In addition to showroom shopping, the day will include a “Cracker Barrel Discussion” (small round tables on critical business issues), a panel discussion on customer retention, traffic generation, leveraging vendors and embracing the changing retail climate, and a wine reception. Giveaways include Mariner’s tickets and admission to Ladies Who Launch incubator workshops in Seattle and Snohomish, plus a free trial of Microsoft’s POS system for all attendees.
“Ironically, being an independent retailer is not something one does alone, you need the support from your community,” said Allison Olsen, owner of Inside Out, Snohomish. “Pacific Market Center fosters that community by bringing independent retailers and businesses together.”
We would love your feedback!
