Business Resources at California Gift Show

Los Angeles – The California Gift Show will offer a variety of business resources during its January market. PACE Business Development Center will be at the show Friday, January 15–Sunday, January 17 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. offering complimentary business counseling to retailers. The California Gift Show and the L.A. Mart Design Center are partnering with ASID and the Sustainable Furnishings Council to offer show attendees a six hour Certified Sustainability Training program Friday, January 15, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. The GREENleaders Certified Training program is designed to give retailers and designers the knowledge and credentials they need to be experts in green home furnishings. The session is $299. Designers can participate in a webinar preview Tueseay, January 12 at 1 p.m. PST at /https://www.gotomeeting.com/register/447374583. There will be a panel discussion on Saturday, January 16 at 11:30 a.m., on how retailers can use social media, blogs, email and the Internet to increase their store’s marketing reach. The discussion will be hosted by Gifts & Decorative Accessories editor-in-chief Caroline Kennedy. Elisabeth Familian, president of BizBash Masterplanner will lead a discussion about gift trends for meetings and events on Saturday, January 16, 10–11 a.m. An interactive Twitter workshop will be presented by Lynn Switaknowski-Barrett of Creative Business Consulting Group.

The California Gift Show is scheduled for January 12–18.
