JAKKS Inks Deal with Snoop Dogg

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 3/27/2006 6:20:00 AM

Mailbu, CA — JAKKS Pacific signed a licensing agreement to develop a collection of pet products based on the rap artist, Snoop Dogg. The line will include toys, beds, leashes, apparel, treats and more.

“We think Snoop Dogg will be a perfect complement to our new pet line, and our team is really excited to develop and market what we expect will be an urban and edgy line,” said Jennifer Richmond, senior vice president of licensing and media, JAKKS Pacific.

The company will look to sell the Snoop Dogg line to mass retailers and pet superstores, but hopes to reach a wider distribution through music, novelty and other specialty outlets. The line is expected to ship sometime this year.

JAKKS Pacific Inc. is a multi-brand company offering a wide selection of toys and consumer products.
