Butterfly Lands on Hand-Cancel Cards

Washington, DC – A new Butterfly Stamp for non-machineable mail (mail that must be hand-cancelled or that is oversized) will become effective in May. It will be
dedicated at the National Stationery Show in May. The U.S. Postal Service and the Greeting Card Association designed the new stamps to make it easy for greeting card customers to know how much postage to use when they mail their purchase. Participating manufacturers will print a silhouette of a butterfly on their envelopes. The Butterfly will be used to indicate non-machineable mail in future; when the price goes up, the USPS will issue a new Butterfly stamp.
We would love your feedback!
