Pierre Deux readies holiday offering

NEW YORK — A Toile de Jouy in cream and black is the centerpiece of a new bath collection, targeted for holiday, at Pierre Deux.
The toile's theme "Les Delices des Quartre Saisons" features scenes from each season of the year and is used as a shower curtain, bath and closet accessories, and as trim on towels.
The collection, as well as the entire home furnishings holiday accessories assortment, will launch next month in the Pierre Deux catalog as well as in the 13 stores across the country.
The catalog has been revised to "provide instant decorating solutions," according to Robert Foster, senior vice president of merchandising. "It's now truly a direct-marketing vehicle." The company also will launch its new Web site in October, Foster said.
The catalog is issued twice a year, with three redo versions of each, he said. The Web site "offers us another venue and will change with the catalog."
Store expansion plans, he said, are for two new units a year. For next year, one unit each will open in Ridgewood, N.J., and Bethesda, Md., in October.
