UPDATE: Downton Abbey Licensed Lines to Debut in Atlanta

Products are inspired by popular British television program

NEW YORK - Merchandise based on the popular British television drama, Downton Abbey, is making a debut this winter across multiple product categories. Among the licensees debuting product lines are Department 56, 1928 Jewelry, Heritage Lace, Kurt S. Adler, Boulevard by Langley/Empire Candles and St. Martin's Press and Fifth Sun.  Buyers attending the upcoming Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market will get a first look.

Heritage Lace was one of the first licensees to announce its "Inspired Living" collection of table textiles, pillows, kitchen textiles, window treatments, shower curtains, gift and women's accessories inspired by the cast and show, but relevant to today's interiors.

Department 56 will reveal a Downton Abbey miniature holiday village. 1928 Jewelry Company presents a collection of jewelry with the vintage flair of the Downton Abbey period and the feel of the elegant jewelry seen on the the program. Kurt Adler decks the halls with holiday ornaments and decoratives with a Downton flair. Langley/Empire Candles light up the home and St. Martin's Press provides titles that give a look

behind the scenes of the show. Fifth Sun will produce screen-printed t-shirts and other apparel items.

Knockout Licensing has also added Running Press and Everest to the growing group of U.S. companies offering products inspired by Downton Abbey.

Running Press  has been granted the right to create and sell Downton Abbey specialty gift items, including a snow globe and a light-up desktop Downton Abbey castle. The Miniature Edition kits will also include mini booklets of favorite quotes and color photos from the series. The Light-Up Downton Abbey will be available in March 2014 and Downton Abbey Snow Globe in September 2014.

Everest  has been granted North American distribution rights for the official Downton Abbey board game. The Downton Abbey board game was originally created by U.K.-based game developer Destination Games, a division of She Who Dares UK Ltd.
