More nominees for Wonder Women awards

NEW YORK—Women In Toys has announced the final slate of nominees for the fourth annual Wonder Women of Toys awards, a list that includes several new names since the initial list was revealed last week.

New to the nominees list are: Olga Ousherovitch of Toys i.e. LLC, Julia Fitzgerald of VTech Electronics North America, Josephine Wood of The Ohio Art Co. and Hasbro's Valerie Jurries in the Manufacturer category; Hasbro's Georgina Melone Griffiths and Toys i.e.'s Olga Ousherovitch in the Inventor/Designer category; and Hasbro's Samantha Lomow and Stevanne Auerbach of Dr. Toy/Institute for Child Resources in the Women To Watch category.

The nominations will be judged this month by a panel that includes:

• Cliff Annicelli, Playthings magazine
• Karen Dodge, Toys "R" Us
• Neil Friedman, Fisher-Price/Mattel
• Brian Goldner, Hasbro
• Barbara Isenberg, North American Bear Co.
• Ann Kearns, Sesame Workshop
• Carter Keithley, Toy Industry Association
• Kathleen McHugh, American Specialty Toy Retailing Association
• Nancy Wolkow, Playthings magazine

The Wonder Women of Toys awards, created by WIT and Playthings magazine, will be given out on Feb. 17, 2008, at WIT’s annual gala in New York City during the American International Toy Fair. Tickets can be purchased online at www.womenintoys.com/Events/WonderWomen07. Seating is limited.
