Kmart names its 'Hot 8' toys for summer

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.—While spring is in the air, big box retailer Kmart knows that families are already planning for summer. In response, for the first time ever, the retailer is sharing the Hot 8 Toy list that features Kmart's picks for the coolest toys that kids will be looking for this summer.

 

The Hot 8 features a variety of toys which will keep kids active during the summer months, with everything from water slides and trampolines to scooters and more.

 

"Kmart is excited to share with families our list of the Hot 8 toys that will keep kids busy and entertained all summer long", said Dev Mukherjee, president, Seasonal & Toys, Sears Holdings. "We know that Mom isn't just shopping for toys during the holidays, she shops all year long, which is why we are thrilled to share our list now so she can shop early and utilize our layaway program, stretching her budget even further than before."

Parents can take advantage of Kmart's layaway program – both online and in store – and reserve the toys featured on the Hot 8 list early, pay over time and pick them up just as the summer heats up and families are ready to get outside and play.

 

Customers can shop for any of the Hot 8 toys at local Kmart stores nationwide or online anytime at www.kmart.com/toys. Toys featured on the Kmart Hot 8 list range from $19.99 to $499.99.
