Toysmith acquires Gemini

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 6/22/2009 3:34:00 PM

SUMNER, Wash.—Toysmith has purchased the assets of Gemini Kaleidoscopes for an undisclosed sum.

Kelienople, Pa.-based Gemini Kaleidoscopes offers a range of classic kaleidoscopes, marble scopes, miniature scopes, key chains and liquid scopes, including designs for special occasions and holidays. The company has been in operation since 1981.

Toysmith will maintain domestic production of the company’s line. Limited shipping from Toysmith’s Sumner begins this month with a full rollout planned for August 2009.

"We are excited that the Gemini Kaleidoscopes line is now part of the fast growing Toysmith family of products for specialty retailers,“ said Bill Bordegon, Toysmith’s national sales manager. “The addition of the Gemini Kaleidoscopes further expands Toysmith’s comprehensive offering of high quality unique products that are fun and capture the imagination."

Earlier this year, Toysmith acquired Lolipop Kids. Last month it purchased Simple Toys.
