NEW YORK—Pressman Toy Corp. has announced deals for new products based on Chorion’s The Mr. Men Show and Big Tent Entertainment’s Domo.
Pressman’s agreement with Chorion will result in board games and puzzles based on The Mr. Men Show animated series airing on Cartoon Network. Puzzles will be available in stores for spring 2009 and board games will follow thereafter.
Pressman has an existing relationship with Chorion for licensed product from the Mr. Men and Little Miss literary characters originally created by author and illustrator Roger Hargreaves. Licensed products based on the television series will target a younger audience.
For Domo, Pressman will create dice and board games that incorporate Domo and his friends. The games, which target Domo fans from 18-34 years old, will be available at specialty retailers starting in September.
Domo, which first appeared as Japanese television station NHK's mascot in 1998, is an animated character who lives in an underground cave with a wise old rabbit and a family of bats. He will be featured in 26 two-and-a-half minute episodes on the Nicktoons Network later this year.
