Warrior Tales

Grimm tales
Sisters Sabrina and Daphne unravel the mystery of their ancestors magical past after being sent to live with their grandmother Relda in The Sisters Grimm: The Fairy Tale Detectives,Abrams Books, New York. Sabrina and Daphne learn they are descendants of the Brothers Grimm, detectives of the Everafters, a parallel race of magical beings and must continue the legacy. Book two, The Sisters Grimm: The Unusual Suspects will be out later this year. Both books retail for $14.95.
   

Narnia: a master replica
Replicas of the Christmas gifts in the Chronicles of Narnia come to life compliments of Master Replicas, Walnut Creek, Calif. Each gift, Lucy’s belt, Peter’s sword and Susan’s bow and arrow, are cast from high quality resin or metal for realism and detail. The suggested retail price is $34.99. Peter’s sword letter opener ($39.99), a limited edition lifelike version of Peter’s sword ($299.00) and the witch’s wand ($249.00) are also available.
 
   
 
Playing the role
In a follow up to Monte Cook Presents: Iron Heroes,White Wolf Publishing, Atlanta, two additional titles complement the role-playing game rulebook this fall and early 2006. A 96-page Mastering Iron Heroes(SRP $19.99) supplement is due out this October with a creature design book, The Iron Heroes Bestiary($19.99) out January.
   
Barbie and Pegasus
The direct-to-DVD release, Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus(SRP $19.99),Lions Gate Films, Santa Monica, Calif., will be available by the end of September.In Barbie, 3-D enhanced scenes bring little girls into the world of winged horses, princesses and a magical kingdom in the clouds.The movie, the fifth appearance on the small screen for Barbie, is for ages 6 and up.
