Field exits Calendar Club for game companies

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 7/30/2008 9:46:00 AM

AUSTIN, Texas—Brandi Field, former game and toy buyer for Calendar Club, has signed on to serve as a consultant and sales rep for game makers All Things Equal and Start Space Games.

While her main focus will be developing business with prospective retailers, Field’s day-to-day duties will also include reviewing package design, securing marketing placement, sourcing product and researching international markets.

"Brandi's experience lends an extraordinary ‘helping hand’ and added level of credibility to our growing companies,” said Eric Poses, president of All Things Equal, and Clay Siegert, president of Start Space Games, in a joint statement.

Field spent nine years at Calendar Club, a seasonal specialty retailer of calendars, games, puzzles, gifts and music boxes through four retail formats: Calendar Club, Go! Games, Go! Toys and San Francisco Music Box Company.

"I'm excited to be working with Eric and Clay. From my experience as a buyer, I know how strong both lines are. They were staples in my best-seller category and I'm very enthusiastic about the new titles we will be presenting for the fall of 2008," Field said.

All Things Equal is best known for the game Loaded Questions and subsequent family/party board games.

Start Space Games (formerly Intellinitiative Game Co.) produces original and licensed games, such VH1’s I Love The 80s Game, Merriam-Webster’s Word Sweep! and The 80s Game With Martha Quinn.
