Weiner joins Big Tent

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 3/3/2010 9:23:00 AM

NEW YORK—Big Tent Entertainment has named licensing industry veteran Lisa K. Weiner Director of Brand Development.

Weiner will look to help maximize all Big Tent Entertainment’s brands in licensee sales and at retail, including Domo, Discovery Kids, Tokyopop and Telemundo.

“Lisa Weiner has established herself as a critical asset in developing brands, positioning them for growth, and driving revenue. Her extensive experience in licensing and children’s entertainment make her a perfect addition to the Big Tent team,” said Richard K. Collins, President and Chief Executive Officer, Big Tent Entertainment.

Weiner comes to Big Tent Entertainment after nearly eight years at Random House Children’s Books where she served as Director, Brand Management. During her tenure, Weiner supervised key children’s properties such as Barbie, Thomas and Friends, Richard Scarry, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, functioning as the primary business liaison for Mattel, Hit Entertainment and Classic Media, among others.

Prior to joining Random House, Weiner held leadership roles at Golden Books and Mattel, specifically in the areas of licensed publishing, as well as many other licensed categories like home furnishings, stationery and activity.
