Bennett to guide Bella Sara licensing

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 1/19/2010 9:11:00 AM

SEATTLE—Hidden City Games has appointed Sharon M. Bennett as licensing consultant for its North American efforts for Bella Sara.

Bennett will be responsible for the Bella Sara property’s primary retail development, licensee relations and sales. Her initial priorities will include further building retail awareness of the horse-themed property and bringing on additional licensees in key categories, including apparel, domestics, publishing, interactive, collectables and accessories.

Bennett most recently ran her own boutique brand licensing consultancy, Bennett Branding, prior to which she served as senior vice president of global licensing and strategic partnerships for Discovery Communications.

“With 20 years of broad experience in the consumer products, entertainment and media industries, Bennett will benefit the company tremendously as we move forward building the brand domestically and throughout the world,” said George Stetar, Hidden City Games’ Vice President, International and Merchandise.

Before joining Discovery Communications, Bennett served as senior vice president of licensing and merchandising for Saban Consumer Products, where she oversaw all North American licensing activities for Fox Family Channel and Fox Kids Network, and prior to that, held a number of marketing and licensing positions at Disney Consumer Products.

Bella Sara recently partnered with Sky High International to market stationery items and with Bees and Jam to produce sleepwear and intimate apparel for girls.

Jakks Pacific is the property’s master toy licensee.
