The blog stemmed from a partnership between Step2 and the Schubert Center for Child Studies at Case Western Reserve University. It focuses on the importance of creative and imaginative play in the lives of children and their development process.

"At Step2 we design quality children's play products with the understanding that imaginative and creative play is essential to the healthy development of a child, said Scott Levin, Step2’s president and CEO. "Step2 is proud to sponsor CreativePlayPlus and give parents, grandparents and child care professionals the opportunity to connect with noted experts in the field of child development at the Schubert Center for Child Studies to learn why play is so important in children's lives."
