RC2 adds marketer to board

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 3/3/2010 9:54:00 AM

OAK BROOK, Ill.—Consumer products marketer Joan K. Chow has joined toymaker RC2 Corp.’s board of directors.

Chow is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of ConAgra Foods, the publicly traded maker of packaged and frozen foods. Prior to joining ConAgra, Chow was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Sears, Roebuck & Co., and held leadership roles at Information Resources and Johnson & Johnson.

She was recently named a 2009 Marketer of the Year by Brandweek magazine.

“We are pleased to welcome Joan Chow to our Board of Directors,” said Curt Stoelting, RC2’s CEO. “Joan is a leader and marketing innovator with a proven track record of growing brands and connecting with consumers. She’ll bring a fresh perspective to our board.”

Chow’s appointment temporarily increases the size of RC2’s Board of Directors pending a planned retirement of a current director, Dan Wright, in May of this year.
