LOS ANGELES—Sanrio Global Consumer Products has granted toymaker Giant Tree House rights for a line of children’s gardening tools starring Hello Kitty.
The line, which was displayed at this month’s American International Toy Fair, includes rakes, shovel, brooms, trowel, cultivator, watering can and gardening gloves featuring the famous feline. Products will be sold individually and in boxed ‘deluxe’ sets.
“We are thrilled to be working with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty on our kids gardening product launch,” said Neal Applefeld, Giant Tree House president. “Hello Kitty is a favorite among girls of all ages and the application on our products really pops.”
Garden tools will be available at retail in April. Boxed sets and additional pieces will be on shelf in June.
We would love your feedback!
