Electro, Juggernaut and Colossus are joining the lineup of the Marvel Battle Dice game from Playmates Toys,Costa Mesa,Calif.The collectible game features more than 65 comic book heroes and villains as mini figures. Players can create armies of Marvel characters from Spider-Man, the X-Men, Daredevil and the Fantastic Four, and each roll of the die determines their next move. Playmates is currently offering three different sets of Battle Dice based on level of play, including the Battle Dice Starter Pack (SRP $9.99),which includes six dice and six figures, playmates, reference card and carrying case as well as a miniature comic book. Four Booster Packs ($5.99-6.99) will be launched by Playmates throughout the year. The first series will have 60 randomly chosen figures. A Dice Launcher ($9.99), a 5-inch diorama that can throw one battle die at a time, is also available. www.marvelbattledice.com
 
     
 
Something to think about
ThinkFun, Alexandria, Va.,brings the Marvel characters to game life in four traditional ThinkFun games (SRP$18.00)this season. In Zingo! Heroes, recommended for ages 4 to 8 years old, kids can match any one of the two mystery tiles that appear on the Zingo! Zinger game piece to their game board. Players must call them out first and place on their mini game board. The first player to fill their board with the collected tiles wins. In City Crossing, players hop from skyscraper to other buildings as Spider-Man until they make it to the end of the game board. Each game includes 40 challenge cards and a magnetic Spider-Man game piece. Hopper Heroes features a Captain America game piece that must make it through different obstacles depicted on the challenge cards. Spider-Man TipOver is a 3D game of strategy based on the original TipOver game. City Crossing, Hopper Heroes and Spider-Man TipOver are recommended for ages 8 and up. www.thinkfun.com

Figures stick
The Green Goblin or Wolverine on your skate board, bike, computer or surf board isn't such a crazy thought after all. The Marvel line of Swicherz are sticky mini action figure busts that can stick to most surfaces where you want to don your best character. The figures from Swicherz, Santa Monica, Calif., also are offered as Sonic the Hedgehog, Bill and Ted from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Marvel's Ghost Rider, The Terminator and Dummy Ducks. X-Men: the game
Based on this summer’s X-Men: The Last Stand film, X-Men: The Official Game,Activision,Santa Monica,Calif.,bringsplayers into an original storyline with some back story for the film. Players can be Wolverine and utilize his combat rage or use Nightcrawler’s acrobatics and teleportation powers or Iceman’s ice slide as they face off against the comic villains atAlkaliLake, the Statue of Liberty, Dark Cerebro and other environments. The game also features the voice of Patrick Stewart. Players have opportunities to upgrade and perfect their superpowers throughout the game through a Mutant Evolution System, by completing different challenges. The game is formatted forPlayStation 2,PC, Xbox360,Nintendo DSand GameCube and Game Boy Advance.
