SOLANA BEACH, Calif.—Michael R. Schon and Todd R. Wagner have joined Rokenbok Toy Co.’s management team as sales and marketing executives, respectively.
Schon is now national sales director, responsible for driving sales of Rokenbok products and developing sales strategies and account plans, as well as for assisting with overall company strategic planning. He joins Rokenbok from Reeves International, where he was manager of national sales. Previously, he served as vice president of sales for Grand Toys and Gibson Toys.
Wagner is now marketing manager. He is responsible for marketing strategy, product research and development, and all marketing services for the Rokenbok product line. He joins the company from Lionel LLC, where oversaw the creation, development and marketing of the Lionel train product line.
“I know I can expect great contributions from [Schon and Wagner] in the near-term, and look forward to significant advances that will really shake up our business segment now that they’ve taken over the reins of our sales and marketing groups,” says John Brady, Rokenbok president and CEO. “Our management team is nearly complete, and well-positioned to take Rokenbok into a very exciting future.”
Brady himself joined the toy company, best known for its line of radio-controlled construction toys, from Lionel in January of this year following the decision of company founder and continuing chairman Paul Eichen to leave day-to-day management of the company in favor of focusing on new product development. At the time, the 12-year-old company had just announced it had received a $6 million financing package from Q Investments, a private investment firm based in Forth Worth, Texas.
