LeapFrog adds execs

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 12/6/2006 11:49:00 AM

EMERYVILLE, Calif.—LeapFrog Enterprises has hired new executives to lead its software and development efforts, online initiatives and human resources.

“Our recent business review highlighted the need to quickly build capabilities in key business areas,” said Jeffrey Katz, LeapFrog president and CEO. The new executives are part of a team Katz is assembling to help the electronic learning aid maker “rebuild [its] business in the near-term and position LeapFrog for profitable growth in the coming years.”

Steve Anderson, an executive at video game maker Electronic Arts before joining mobile gaming producer The Mforma Group, has been named vice president of software engineering responsible for the company’s software architecture and development team.

Jeff Grant, a former marketing head at online travel site Orbitz, has joined LeapFrog as vice president of Web products, a newly created position.

Hilda West, formerly of software provider Autodesk, has joined the company as senior vice president of human resources.
