Hosung to market Dr. Seuss toys

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, 10/5/2009 12:17:00 PM

NEW YORK—Dr. Seuss Enterprise has selected toy maker Hosung NY to produce and distribute eco-friendly products based on the Dr. Seuss brand in North America.

Hosung’s My Natural Dr. Seuss product line is expected to launch in spring 2010. Under the agreement, the assortment will include not only eco-friendly plush characters, but also certified non-toxic infant accessories such as rattles and teething blankies, a first for Hosung.

"My Natural is a pioneering brand that brings eco-friendly plush to all markets allowing an affordable and broadly distributed alternative to the customer that may not have easy access to eco-friendly and non-toxic toys," said Serah Chae, President of Hosung NY. "We look forward to expanding the My Natural line beyond toys and into the infant category with Dr. Seuss as well."

Plans call for the Hosung’s My Natural Dr. Seuss Collection to offer products made from certified non-toxic natural cotton, and colored using the company's proprietary chemical-free PureWaterWash process.
